READ DESCRIPTION PLEASE!

Hey guys

this is my entry for the good vs evil contest.
With this image I wanted to portray the inner struggle between good versus evil, also called "the heart of darkness". I chose this subject as it's a very personal matter to me. Lately I've been struggling with whether to try finding a job which pays well and so gives me an opportunity to build up a decent, stable life (the fancy jacket), or to try finding a job with my passion: drawing (the heart). Which would mean a very uncertain life.
This explains why I didn't go for a "heart of darkness" because I'm still struggling with which one is good and which one is evil.

I used a puzzle of references in this one for the linedrawing, but not for the rendering. It's all started from scratch in Photoshop.

Comments and favs are appreciated!

With all respect, but I would prefer not getting comments about my personal struggle. Please only comment on the painting

Nice dude. Really like the colour pallette and the glow is ace.

Intense and personal. The lighting here is just one of the main features, including the palette that you've chosen for everything outside the light source. The veins are a cool touch and remind me of putting a flashlight up to your hands when you're a kid and marvelling at being able to see through your own skin.

Well, basically as all the rest: start with the big shapes, define form through light, adding details ;)
